I have a love affair with slides.  Yes, you heard me correctly, I adore slide sandals.  I purchased my first pair on a whim 3 years ago at Forever21 (no judgement, please) to see if I could get onboard with the trend.  That first Summer I wore them a handful of times but always opted for my go to flip flops or ankle strap sandals over the slides.  Last Summer rolled around and I found myself once again interested in trying the trend so I picked up a pair of double strap, black slides at Old Navy.  I wore those suckers all Summer long, they are still the most comfortable sandals I own.  Fast forward to this Spring and I am finding myself grabbing either pair of my inexpensive sandals on a daily basis.  There is something so effortless and chic about a pair of slides.  I feel more pulled together, a touch more polished, and yes, a little cooler when I wear mine.

Now that I know the trend is one I am into and not going anywhere anytime soon I have found myself scouring my fave online shops for the cutest pairs.  In my opinion one can never go wrong with a classic cross strap option  or a wide single band.  If you are feeling a touch edgier I am all about an oversized bow or lots and lots of fur with pearls.
