With Memorial Day and the heat of Summer just around the corner I have started collecting my essential pieces for the balmy days ahead (and seriously purging my closet to make way for the new).  Sundresses, rompers, coverups, and sandals naturally always make the cut but this year I am all about adding some statement accessories.

1. A Statement Bag

I have been head over heels in love with my Cult Gaia Ark since Chris gave it to me for Valentine’s Day.  This bag is seriously THE bag of the season and is an endless conversation starter!  The bag is currently on pre-order for a June delivery and if you want one I strongly encourage you to place an order ASAP since it seems this bag just won’t last!

2. Bold Earrings

Another piece I have been loving for a while now is the bold earring.  I love the pop of color, the fun of a tassel, or the interest of some shells with a basic look of a sundress or romper.  These Baublebar earrings come in about a dozen colors and can be dressed up or down depending on your mood (I wore this pair to my girlfriend’s wedding back in March and they were so much fun!

4. An Oversized Hat

I am a sucker for a cool hat.  Every Summer I try to add at least one new hat to my rotation and this year it was this Janessa Leone Marcel in Bleach.  This hat is already my go to for protecting my skin against the desert sun and adding a touch of cool to any look.

5. Flirty Sundresses

I live in easy, sexy sundresses about 6 months out of the year so I totally take my time hunting for the ones that are just right.  Lace detail, beautiful fabrics, low back, sexy silhouettes are all important to finding the right option for you.  My Roberta Roller Rabbit dress is hands down already my most worn dress of the year.
