What’s Summer without a few stay-cations to relax and recharge, amiright?  A few weeks back Hotel Paseo reached out and invited me to stay and I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to go on faux-cation.

Hotel Paseo opened about a year and a half ago in Palm Desert, just 1/2 a block to all the fabulous shopping on El Paseo.  The hotel is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, a group of unique and one of a kind properties that allow Bonvoy members the ability to earn and redeem points for stays.  The 4 Star hotel offers guests a full service spa, all day dinning at AC3, lawn games, plus a pool and hot tub…sign me up!

We arrived around 2pm and the Front Desk found us a room that was available for an early check in (if you are interested in an early arrival please contact the Front Desk of any hotel in advance to see if they are able to accommodate your request, they can’t always!) which was great!  After a quick change we made our way to the pool and ordered some Aperol Spritz from the pool bar.  We spent most of the afternoon enjoying the warm weather and the cool drinks before making our way back to the room to get ready for dinner.

AC3 does a fabulous twice a day Happy Hour (3pm-6pm and again at 9pm) that we decided to check out for dinner.  We ordered short rib sliders with fries, ceviche & tortilla chips, roasted Brussels, and a cheese & charcuterie board, all on Happy Hour, for dinner plus a couple glasses of rosé.  With the amazing Happy Hour pricing our dinner was under $100 with tip – how perfect is that?!? Everything we had was delicious but the sliders were hands down my favorite!  After dinner we made our way outside to play some corn hole and putt putt golf with some cocktails, the twilight weather was perfect!  Before bedtime we took a quick dip in the hot tub and then enjoyed more wine on our balcony.

We spent the rest of the stay eating breakfast at AC3 (try the Avo Toast with poached eggs and the lobster hash), laying by the pool sipping rosé, and getting the most amazing massage at Spa La Le.  Now, I have to say, I am kind of a spa snob after spending years working in luxury resorts and I was beyond impressed with the spa facilities and my massage….UH-MAZING!!!
