Palm Springs Festival Season Kicks off with Garden Jam

Can you all believe we are only a month away from the start of Festival Season (yes, that is a real thing) here in Palm Springs?!  While most people are familiar with Coachella and Stagecoach many may not know that here in the desert, us locals like to kick off the season with the much more intimate festival, Garden Jam.

Wedbush Garden Jam will take place the first weekend of April (5 & 6 to be exact) at the gorgeous Indian Wells Tennis Gardens and is presented by Fisherman’s Market and Grill.  The Tennis Gardens feature stunning date palms, colorful flowers, and shaded areas to relax in an intimate setting and listen to music.  This year’s headliners are Lukas Nelson and The Promise of the Real and Buddy Guy.  If you have been following me for some time you know what a huge fan of Lukas Nelson both Chris and I are, this will be my 4th time seeing him and Chris’s 5th!  In the last few months, Lukas has gained plenty of attention thanks to his work with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga on the movie “A Star is Born” and the award-winning song, “Shallow”.  Fun Fact: Lukas is the son of Country music icon, Willie Nelson.  Buddy Guy is a legend of blues music and a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.  He has recently collaborated with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones on a new release.  Buddy Guy has been influential in the music of artists like John Mayer, Jimi Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughn.  The two-day festival will also feature artists Los Lobos, Jimmie Vaughn, Brian Culbertson, and Lucie Silvas.

In addition to the music, Garden Jam will also feature a lifestyle village with delicious food, great wine, boutique shopping and art.  All seating for Garden Jam is reserved table seats with views of the stage which I LOVE!  There is nothing more enjoyable on a balmy evening than listening to great music with friends and a bottle of wine (or two)!  The festival will also offer a limited number of grounds only tickets for those looking to experience the weekend without a reserved seat.  If you opt for a grounds only ticket you can bring in a towel or blanket to place on the lawn to watch the artists.

^^ Blurry but a little throw back to the time I actually got to meet Lukas when he performed at Pappy’s

Garden Jam gates open at 4:30pm both days with the headliners ending by 11pm. If you want to join me for a great weekend and plenty of fun, tickets are still available!  Grounds only tickets are $75/day while Reserved seating starts at $125/day.  I hope to see you there and be sure to tag @gardenjammusicfestival in your Instagram posts!  If you won’t be attending but don’t want to miss out on the fun, be sure to follow along on my Instagram that weekend as I will be doing some Stories and a Live during the festival!

XO, Niki
