Hey there, darlings!!!  I have to say, this Summer seems to be flying by…am I right?  I have been spending as much time as possible up in Lake Arrowhead avoiding the nasty Palm Springs heat, playing on the lake (aka my favorite pass time), and working on a little renovation project.  For those of you wondering what on earth I mean by a renovation project let me explain.  My family has had a home near Lake Arrowhead since I was 4 years old.  Last month it was time to do some projects including painting, striping wall paper (that is over 30 years old…), having fans installed, etc.  It’s certainly not an invasive remodel but still a project!  Chris and I really wanted to invest some “sweat equity” into the house since we have both the time and the ability so we have handled most of the painting so far.  There is still a lot to do including the wall paper striping and ripping up old carpet but the small taste of a project like this has both of us excited and ready for more.

Of course, to balance the hard work with some fun we have be heading out on the lake with our friend on his new boat and enjoying the free weekend concerts in the Village.  We also got to spend the 4th on the lake which as you all know is my favorite way to celebrate and the fireworks were unreal this year!
