It has been 5 years since I decided to start this blogging journey, can you believe it???  Back in 2013 I was struggling to find myself after leaving hotels and searching for something new.  Somehow in talking to a friend I jokingly said “maybe I should be a stylist” (as if it’s that easy) which ultimately resulted in me starting The Darling Niki as my personal style blog.  Over the last 5 years I have transitioned out of the hospitality industry into the fashion/retail world, moved from Lake Arrowhead to Palm Springs, moved in with Chris (the first time I have ever lived with a boyfriend), adopted Sarge, made new friends, and grown my blog from a hobby to a brand…WHEW!  I thought it would be fun to take a little look back at some favorite OOTDs from the last 5 years!  I’d say not only has my style changed so have my photo editing skills!

One last thing…THANK YOU to all of you who have followed since day 1 or have just started following along.  I love hearing your feedback on outfits, recipes, and travel guides more than you know!  Oh, and thank you to everyone who has acted as a photographer for me over the last 5 years…especially Chris who is basically my live in #InstagramBoyfriend at this point!  Can’t wait to see what this journey continues to bring!
