Happy Monday everyone! Chris and I have been spending more time than usual up in the high desert (Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, Pioneertown) the last few weekends. It has been nice to get out of Palm Springs to slightly cooler weather for a few hours here and there. Since our move we can make it to Pappy & Harriet’s (a favorite spot of ours) in just about 30 minutes making it an ideal spot for a quick escape and enjoying the high desert lifestyle.
A few months back we purchased tickets to see Lukas Nelson (Willie’s son) with his band, Promise of the Real, at Pappy’s on September 30th. The day of the concert we made our way up to Pioneertown with plenty of time to explore Mane Street and grab a bite before the show. In all our trips to Pioneertown we had never explored the town and shops that are open every weekend which made our time even more fun! Hands down, my favorite spot is the Pioneertown General Store, a super cute spot to grab vintage clothing, cool hats, and provisions for those camping nearby. We happened to stop in during a pop up shop with Jada & Jon, a vintage shop based in LA. Chris and I fell in love with so many of their uniquely curated pieces…Chris even bought himself a vintage motorcycle jacket that once belonged to Jada’s uncle! I grabbed a few bangles and was pretty in love with this sequin jacket but walked away from it when Chris told me I looked like an old lady! HAHA!
^^I grabbed this shot off Jada and Jon’s InstaStories
We did a little more exploring before grabbing some BBQ at Pappy’s.

This past Saturday we put Sarge in the car and headed back up to Pappy’s and Pioneertown for the afternoon. Sarge had so much fun roaming around Mane Street and laying on the floor at Pappy’s while we had lunch!

^^he was pretty content hanging out front at the General Store while we visited with Jada and Jon who were back for another pop up. Naturally I found more great pieces including a sequin black & white jacket.

We made a quick stop in Yucca to check out a few of our favorite vintage spots before heading home. How good is this floor at The End???
