Hey guys, hope you all had a safe and relaxing Holiday weekend! We made it back from the lake early yesterday and were home just long enough to unpack and repack for a trip to The La Quinta Resort and Spa. Chris wanted to surprise me with a relaxing day on the 4th but it seems I am too smart and guessed where we were going…oops!
We left the desert and made it up to Lake Arrowhead just in time for the Saturday night concert in the Village. I can’t tell you how amazing it was to leave 116 degrees behind and enjoy a cool 76.
After a fun (and LONG) night in the Village hanging out with friends I finally awoke to a beautiful mountain morning (and some fresh coffee).
After some breakfast, coffee, and a Bloody Mary we made our way along the lake trail to the Village to meet up with our friends. No judgement but I got thirsty along the way and enjoyed a nice, cold beer!
Lake Arrowhead had it’s annual 4th of July festivities on Monday this year which was a fun way to keep the weekend going! We spent the day bouncing between a BBQ at a friend’s dock and on another friend’s boat for the day. There was yet another concert and we enjoyed some Mexican food for dinner before the fireworks show began.
Here’s a better look at my Daydreaming Away necklace.
For those who were asking, this suit is pretty old and I only wear it one weekend a year. It is from Billabong. I have linked to this year’s version HERE.
I tend to pack pretty light for weekends on the lake. You can shop my bag, sandals, sunnies, and shorts above.
We watched the fireworks from our friend’s boat while drinking Sparkling Rosé.
Before leaving Arrowhead we stopped by to visit with my grandparent’s for an hour. Chris actually pointed out how cool this “Welcome” sign is in my town and confession: I have never actually noticed it! I guess it goes to show you take things for granted when you see them all the time!
We spent all of yesterday afternoon enjoying the pools at The La Quinta Resort (they have over 40!). It was a refreshing change to be a little boujee and relax after the big lake weekend.
