Hey guys! It’s been a while since I have done a “Currently Craving” post…as in, I can’t remember the last time I did one (insert embarrassed emoji here).  One of the goals I have given myself this Summer is to streamline content and create a more structured way of posting (i.e. Currently Craving Saturdays) and while I am on the subject of content I have a very important question for all of you: what do you want to see more of?  Leave a comment and tell me what type of posts encourage you to keep reading!

 

Now, back to my current fashion cravings.  I am really at a loss with my current wardrobe.  I feel like all the pieces look the same, feel the same, and are just kind of meh at this point.  Honestly, part of the other challenge is living in a year round resort destination.  When I want to pull out a black blazer and loafers I am met with dozens of people in caftans and sundresses and it just feels out of place.  There is also the challenge of the triple digit heat, if it’s not cotton, linen, or other breathable fabrics it’s a no go for me until November!  So, that leaves me always looking for new pieces to incorporate into my existing rotation.

Chic Dresses & Jumpsuits – The easiest way to get dressed when 110 degrees is the daytime average for the next 120 days.  I have plenty of dresses in my closet but feel I can never have too many.  This blue ruffled hem dress is an easy piece to throw on with sandals or dress up with a wedge and the color is so pretty!  Ace & Jig makes such beautiful and unique pieces and the thing I love most is their fabrics are super breathable!

Cute Bottoms – Every time I go to get dressed I realize that I really don’t have a ton of skirts, jeans, or shorts that I love and are ideal for the season.  This year I’m eyeing a pair of lightweight cropped flares, new shorts, and a few fun skirts.
