I have been glued to my InstaStories and Snapchat this week filled with envy of all the blogger babes currently basking in the sun with Revolve in St. Barths and Anguilla…sigh….  All the posts are giving me a serious case of FOMO and inspiring me to share some of my must pack items for your next sandy escape (even if it’s only to visit me in Palm Springs!).  I am typically not one for too much color but with turquoise water, bright green palms, and white sand as a backdrop I feel that splashes of color, especially in the accessories department, are no-brainer.  Bright pink, purple, yellow…bring it all on!

1. A statement pool/beach bag – Nothing screams “I’m on Vacay!” quite like a straw tote covered in pompoms, tassels, fringe, or cutest sayings.  Ditching my daily bag in favor of something much more festive (and larger to hold all my pool necessities) gives me an instant feeling of relaxation.  JadeTribe makes one of my other favorites and this Cult Gaia bag is a perfect poolside to cocktails option.

2. A caftan…or two…or three… – I love a caftan, just take a peek into my closet and you will understand.  They check so many boxes for me: easy, comfortable, chic, multipurpose.  Throw on this Lemlem caftan for an afternoon strolling thru town, over your bikini at the pool, or with a great pair of sandals and bag for dinner.  Done.

3. Festive Footwear – Believe me (or ask Chris) I always overpack in the shoe department.  You can legit wear the same pair of jean shorts and a simple tee 3 days in a row with different shoes and look totally different each time.  Elina Linardanki makes some of my most favorite vacation footwear…hello Penny Lane sandal!

Throw in a good book, some fashion mags, a vacay worthy Spotify playlist, and a few cocktails and I am ready to relax!
