A few years ago while working for a boutique I bought this black Michael Stars convertible skirt (plus my sandals and Gucci glasses).  I love the idea of a piece that can be worn multiple ways, especially if I’m spending some money on it.  I have worn this maxi countless times as a skirt but had yet to try it as a dress.  The length was a bit weird for me originally but by belting in and giving the top a little billowy effect it fixed the awkward length and gave the dress some definition.  While this exact skirt is no longer available Michael Stars always has a few convertible options available.  You can shop the current collection HERE.  I seriously love how easy this piece is especially to when packing for a long weekend.  It takes up little to no space, doesn’t wrinkle, and can be dressed up or down…perfection!
