I had to be in San Diego earlier this week for a few meetings and enjoyed squeezing in some sightseeing along the way.  Yes, San Diego is basically my own backyard but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying the beauty at any opportunity!  I stayed at The Pearl in Point Loma, a kitschy and eclectic mid-century modern hotel.  I love finding little gems like this that are far from the cookie cutter norm of corporate America!  To say my stay was fantastic would be an understatement….my expectations were exceeded!  Since Tuesday was a free day for me I took time to enjoy the water (and the YACHTS!) at Shelter Island and then headed to Presidio Park on the hill above Old Town.  All in all it was a simply gorge October day!
