The Ink Is Black, The Page Is White

A few weeks back I was at Nordstrom rack with a girlfriend, helping her find some new pieces to incorporate into her wardrobe.  I was not supposed to be shopping for myself but could NOT resist a pair of black and white silk Trina Turk Idris wide leg pants.  They were the only pair, in my size, and marked down from $298 to $10!  A discount that impressive is not to be walked away from, under any circumstance!

I have been staring at the Trina Turk pants ever since, trying to find the perfect top and accessories for the bold pants.  Every photo I found online had the pants paired with flat sandals which is great for a beach-y dressed up look.  I personally wanted to find a dressy way to wear the silk, geo patterned pants.  I have finally found the perfect accessories! A $7.80 dressy, black, racer back tank  that hits at just the right length for the elastic waist pants, from Forever21, my beloved Steve Madden Realov nude heels, an oldie but goodie black Chanel inspired clutch with chain detail from Wet Seal circa 2009 (Forever21 has similar styles currently in stores for under $25), and a black and gold statement necklace from Forever21 that at $8.80 was more expensive than the top!

Check back for photos of the finished look in 2 weeks!
