Does anyone else look at Monday as a fresh start? I feel like it is the perfect day to set new goals, put my diet back on track, kick that exercise routine up a bit, and let the all the things I didn’t accomplish last week go. I think it’s so easy to beat ourselves up for not accomplishing more each day and let’s be honest, all that does is leave us feeling disappointed and defeated. Last week kicked my ass, I spent 3 full days in bed with a cold (the worst) and had no energy for anything other than binge watching Mad Men and Homeland and really accomplished nothing that needed to get done. So what are some of my goals for this week?
1. Clean out my closet.
2. Dedicated an hour a day to blog work…I totally slacked last week.
3. Take a walk each day.
4. No wine during the week.
In other news, I am on a total caftan kick again this Spring. I have realized that in the heat of the Summer I want all my clothes to be loose and flowy and a killer caftan fits that bill to a T. I grabbed this stripe version at my favorite local boutique, Elizabeth & Prince, a few weeks back and am already craving another one. The fabric is the softest cotton and it is perfect as a dress or over a swimsuit. The brand runs pretty big, I am wearing a small so definitely size down when you order!

I’m cleaning out my closet too! Already started while unpacking and have a bathing suit, 2 shirts and a blazer in the bag. Time to purge!
