We spent a lot of time in Temecula.  Like, a LOT of time.  It’s the halfway point between Palm Springs & San Diego, it’s only 20 minutes from my grandpa (when he is at the Fallbrook house), and it’s the closest place to go wine tasting.  In the many trips we have tried our fair share of restaurants and have a few total misses and a few we love.  Our newest favorite spot offers a cool outdoor space, great food, an interesting wine list, and live entertainment.

We stumbled across PUBlic House a few months back as we were walking to another spot we love.  Never ones to shy away from something new, we requested a table.  Long story short, we were blown away.  Fast forward to this past weekend and we made our way back after some wine tasting at Avensole & Wiens.

I have to be honest, it is super rare for me to order an entree when I go out to eat.  I am super indecisive and like to try a variety of menu items.  It works well when Chris & I go out since we typically order a bunch of small plates but gets me into trouble when out with friends who want their entree to themselves…selfish…

Anyway, Chris and I shared the shrimp tacos, avocado toast, jalepeno Caesar, and ahi.  The wine list left me wishing a flight was offered but our server was sweet enough to let me taste a few things before settling.  I tried a Habenero-Jalepeno Sauv Blanc, Coffee-Jalepeno Cab, and some Rose before deciding on a glass of Rose from the Alexander Valley.
