I love a great statement accessory.  Let’s be honest, I love ALL accessories!  I obviously mix up my style quite a bit and have a closet full of belts, necklaces, sunglasses, and handbags to match (almost) any occasion.  I get asked pretty often about what my go to pieces are when stepping up my outfit…

1. Statement Sunglasses – I honestly believe I might have an addiction to sunnies.  I currently have an entire drawer full of oversized shades, mirrored, colored, retro, cheap, expensive, you name it.  In my opinion, sunglasses are the perfect accessory to amplify your look year round.

2. Bold Piece of Jewelry – I tend to gravitate towards necklaces as my “wow” accessory but every once in a while a bold earring will make an appearance.  I try to keep that one piece the star of the outfit like with these coral beaded earrings.  Pompoms, tassels, and layers are so on trend at the moment and are easily incorporated into any look.

3. Great Bag – At the end of the day I am a ride or die handbag girl.  I have always believed that I can wear an entire “fast fashion” outfit paired with a high end bag and look like a million bucks.  Depending on my mood my handbag might be a classic Chanel, a funk tasseled bag, or a simple clutch in a bold color.

I do have 1 rule for accessorizing (thanks Coco Chanel): Before you walk out the door remove 1 item.  I tend to want to over accessorize and find that this trick keep my style from looking a little too Iris for my taste.
