We had so much fun on our vacation last week exploring all Tahoe and Mammoth have to offer!  We didn’t really set out on the trip with a daily itinerary which was a refreshing change for each of us…especially me, the uber planner!  We stayed in Incline Village, NV while in Tahoe which is a quick drive to Tahoe City, CA where we spent a mellow afternoon.

The drive around the lake is so unbelievably scenic and I swear, every curve provide another breathtaking view of Tahoe’s crystal blue water!  Once we got into Tahoe City we found the best boutique, Kalifornia Jean Bar.  I spent some time window shopping and fawning over witty tees and Claire V clutches….an amazing find in a small lake town!

After some window shopping we found Tahoe Mountain Brewing, a restaurant that was dog friendly!  It’s amazing how many places wouldn’t allow my sweet little fur baby during our trip…haters!  We each had a beer flight (if you know me, you can now pick your jaw up off the floor!) and shared Ahi Chips (holy Heaven on Earth!!!!) while looking over the lake.  A must try if you make your way to Tahoe.  We ended the day with a walk to the marina for a windy view!

Tahoe is a really casual spot and my wardrobe for the week reflected that.  I wore a lot of cut off shorts and hats all week long plus my trusty denim jacket made numerous appearances!
