Seriously? Rain in Palm Springs??? What happened to the theory it never rains in California, let alone the desert?!  Yes, I woke up in my glorious Hard Rock bed to clouds and rain and all I could think was: I have to go out in this to get my Starbucks???

Today’s post is two-fold – first an opportunity to show how you can throw on something and not look like a frump-a-dump and second to show how the same look can transition from rain to sunny and cool.

A friend of mine was lamenting how when he drops his young child at school so many of the moms are in baggy sweats, dirty hair, and look disastrous.  I realized that showing how to literally throw some clothes on and still look stylish is something many busy moms may struggle with, so here is my thrown together look!  My key pieces? The embellished smoking flats that are both on trend and have some visual interest, the oversized but still stylish sweater, and my large sunglasses that cover up my lack of make up first thing in the morning.
