A few months back I put together my “Ultimate Guide to Palm Springs” and it was the most popular post I have done in 3 years which got me thinking, I should highlight more of my favorite spots each month. I spent much of my career working in luxury hotels and am used to being a Concierge of sorts to friends, family, and readers and hope that this new addition to the site will be well received. Let me know what you think!
This week I am sharing Sip, a local coffee house and juice bar, seriously two of my favorite things all rolled into one. Win freaking win. Sip is located just outside of La Quinta in Indio (here’s looking at you Coachella goers) and is the perfect spot to pick up a latte (complete with foam art), a pitaya bowl, or my personal favorite, nitrogen cold brew coffee. If you have never tried nitro cold brew you are seriously missing out. I adore iced coffee but hate how the ice melts and my drink becomes super watered down and weak. Nitro is chilled with duh, nitrogen, meaning you don’t need to add ice and it has this amazing creamy consistency that is pure perfection. I typically sweeten my coffee but only add a splash of half & half to my nitro coffee. Sip keeps this gem on tap…YASSSSSSS!
If pastries are more your scene or tea is more your, well, your cup of tea then Sip is still a great option for you. Think fresh muffins, lemon bars, and assorted teas for those mellow afternoons with a good book (they have a mini library if your forgot yours) in one of their cozy chairs.
Sip is a perfect spot for me to take my laptop and get some much needed quiet time to focus on the blog. Living in Palm Springs I tend to always run into someone I know at the local coffee shops but escaping “down Valley” is the perfect answer for uninterrupted work time. Oh, and they make delicious paninis so I can conquer lunch at the same time 🙂
Be sure to check out Sip the next time you are in the Coachella Valley!
